Escrow Protection
Escrow is the safety box of every deal. Your money is locked in a protected holding account until both sides confirm the deal is done — so no one can be cheated. Here is how it works.
Frequently Asked Questions
Escrow is a middleman for money. When you agree to a deal, the buyer's money is moved into a locked holding account that neither the buyer nor the seller can touch alone. The money is only released when the deal is confirmed complete. That is how both sides stay safe.
Because most people who trade online are afraid of one of two things: paying and not getting the goods, or delivering and not getting paid. Escrow removes both fears, which means more deals happen and the platform grows.
Start a deal on the Escrow page. Name the deal, set the amount, and the buyer pays into escrow. Once the money is in, both sides can see it and the work or delivery can begin. You can see every detail in the escrow record.
The money is released only after the work or delivery is confirmed done. The seller or worker confirms completion, the buyer confirms receipt, and then the escrow unlocks and pays out automatically.
If the buyer and seller disagree, no one gets the money by force. Each side presents their side of the story, and our mediation team reviews the full record of the deal before deciding where the funds go. Escrow is never released while a dispute is open.
No. Every escrow is written into an encrypted ledger that cannot be edited after the fact. The whole history — who paid, when, and what was confirmed — stays as it happened, so a dispute is decided on the true record.
The client funds the gig into escrow before you start working. When you finish and the client confirms, the money is released to you. You never have to chase anyone for payment. See Work & Gigs.
You pay for the product into escrow, the seller sends it, and when you confirm it arrived as described, the seller gets paid. If the product never arrives or is not as described, you open a dispute and the money stays locked. See Buy & Sell.
Yes. The holding account is protected and can only be released by the escrow rules — completion, or a mediation decision. Even the platform cannot simply take it. See Wallet & Security for how your wallet is protected.
Yes — the same idea protects bigger deals. Funds for a trade are held and released step by step as the trade is confirmed, and every step is recorded. See Trading & Swaps and Crowd Invest.
